Trooper came to us along with his best friend Oscar after being seized by animal control. Fortunately, we were able to purchase him at auction to make sure that he didn’t end up in the wrong hands ever again! Considering he came from a neglect case… he initially had some distrust and fear around humans but fortunately it only took a couple of weeks for him to fully trust again. Now he is an absolute love bug and follows you around like a puppy dog! He enjoys hanging out in his huge 5 acre pasture with his best friend Oscar. Trooper has been undergoing consistent training with our trainer and is an incredibly intelligent horse. He is easily haltered and very well easily led and well-mannered on lead rope!

He is very good for the Farrier and Vet especially for a young horse given the situation he came from. He has really surprised us with his ability & confidence!

Recommended Rider:   Trooper is still green broke but will be a great horse for an experienced horseman who is wanting to work with her to build trust and confidence!

Adoption Requirements:  Currently recommended for a more experienced rider and or trainer for now.

We hope that trooper is able to be adopted with his best buddy Oscar (a 14 yr old red roan, and very good riding horse). This is not required but preferred given Horses are often trauma over trauma. Bonded, which is the case with these two, so we would ideally like to keep them together.

Ailments/Limitations:  At this time, Trooper is sound and comfortable. He shows no signs of lameness or discomfort and continues to improve with consistent care, training and love.

Trooper has no known medical issues or limitations and is up to date on all veterinary, dental, and farrier work. With continued training and proper care, he will make a wonderful addition to a loving forever home.
