Who We Are
At Believe Ranch and Rescue we believe in the golden rule: to treat all living things as we ourselves would wish to be treated. We love and respect all living creatures and will give all of ourselves to ensuring their well-being and happiness. We rescue horses from abuse, neglect, and those at risk of ending up in the slaughter pipeline. Once saved we give them the love and care all living creatures deserve. We recognize the therapeutic nature of these beautiful animals and their relevance to human healing. These beautiful souls can teach humans how to become the fearless leaders of their own lives. Helping people come “home” to their most beautiful and powerful truth so that they can not only SHINE in their own lives but encourage all those around them to do the same.

Our Mission
Our Goal is to Save as Many Horses as Possible from Abuse, Neglect and Slaughter.
We rescue horses from abuse, neglect, and slaughter, offering them love, care, and the second chance they deserve.
In partnership with those who share our values of kindness and respect for all beings, we carefully match adoptable horses with a loving home, ensuring safe, lifelong bonds.
To run retreats and clinics that use the healing power of these incredible animals to help people connect, grow, and heal on a deeper level.
Helping people come “home” to their powerful truth so that they can not only SHINE in their own lives but encourage all those around them to do the same.
To educate, inform and bring awareness to the inhumane, horrific horse slaughter industry.
Our national educational campaign with our nonprofit, Horses In Our Hands, has reached over 92 million people nationwide. Leading to a decrease in horse slaughter numbers by 65%, but one is too many!
We are working with a large coalition of animal groups to bring pressure to Congress to pass the SAFE Act, to ban horse slaughter all together.

Here’s how we do it
RESCUE
We rescue horses from auctions where they face the tragic fate of the slaughter pipeline.
REHABILITATE
We bring them to our ranch or our satellite rescues in Colorado. With medical treatment, nourishment, shelter, training, and love, we help them heal and thrive.
RE-HOME
After the horses have undergone a behavioral assessment and are ready for adoption, we do our best to find them the perfect family to grow old with.
We’re not just saving horses…we are helping transform lives.
At Believe Ranch and Rescue, many of our rescue horses also play a vital role in equine coaching with Siri and events with horses at the ranch, helping people build confidence, resilience, and emotional strength.
Horses have a unique ability to heal, calm, and teach us in ways few others can.
The families who adopt these incredible animals experience profound, lifelong benefits.
Through caring for and connecting with these magnificent animals, we grow in compassion, deepen our capacity for love, and become better, more connected humans.

“Animals have rescued me my whole life. I thought I was rescuing them, but in turn, they really rescued me. It’s been a beautiful experience and one that we hope to make possible for many animals and people alike.”

“I grew up fortune enough to always be surrounded by animals and I immediately felt a connection to any living thing I came across. As a child and teenager, I would sit for hours and talk to my pets; they were my best friends. I have known my entire life my mission would involve saving those lives that needed me the most!”
